Sun Valley Market Snapshot
October Market Report
Historically speaking, October is the biggest month of the year for Closings, averaging over $110M in Sold Dollar Volume over the last few years. As you can see from the snapshot to the left, that’s right about what the market achieved this year. Actual Sales and New Listings were down about 20% versus a typical October, illustrating how the higher list and sales prices can influence the numbers.
In this month’s report, a new section on pg 6 breaks down the October activity by price point. Some of you might find this to be interesting, as it paints a better picture about the market’s activity. I’ll be including that feature for the next few months, and in the year-end report in January, I will offer that feature for each area market.
